Second Grade News!

School Supplies

As we begin to approach the last few months of school, please continue to check your child's student planner for homework assignments, due dates, special events and notes from the teacher. Also, please continue to monitor your child's school supplies, many students are beginning to run out of pencils, erases and notebook space and need to be replaced.

Volunteers

Each second grade class will continue having guest mystery readers on Friday's throughout the rest of year. In addition, this spring we would like to request guest volunteer speakers to come in and share their career and/or talent. If you are interested in coming in please contact your child's homeroom teacher.

Breadmaking
On Wednesday April 23, 2014 all second grade students will be participating in our annual breadmaking event at CES. We will be asking for 4-5 parent volunteers to help with setting up in the cafeteria, the preparation and making of the bread and cleaning up. If you are able to come into school and help from 2:00-3:45pm on April 23rd please let your child's homeroom teacher know!

Recess is Outside!

Spring is finally here!!! During the last few months of school we invite and encourage you to come in and spend time outside with your child during our lunch and recess time. Second grade recess is Monday through Friday 12:00-12:30pm and lunch is from 12:30-1:00pm. We hope that you will be able to come in and join the fun!!!
