Congratulations to Our Class of 2023 Valedictorian & Salutatorian!
Elizabeth will attend Clarkson University in the fall where she will study Computer Engineering with a minor in Mathematics, and Mary will go on to Buffalo State University where she will major in Music Education.
Both Elizabeth and Mary have earned numerous honors and awards throughout their four years at MSM. Elizabeth was named as a Commended Student in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program, while Mary received the Presidential Scholarship and the Quincy Jones Musicianship Award. Both young women exude kindness and generosity, and exemplify what it truly means to be a Mountie.
We wish them both all the best in their next steps and look forward to cheering them on in all of their future endeavors!

Junior Class Retreat at Camp Kenan
On Friday, April 14th, the class of 2024 gathered together at Camp Kenan for their long-awaited junior class retreat. After getting snowed out in November, our juniors were greeted with the best weather of the year thus far. The morning was filled with archery, nature challenges, and low ropes team building, with lots of opportunities to encounter God in both nature and each other.
In the afternoon, Mr. Wilde led the juniors in a reflection about hope and this passage from Jeremiah: "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We will continue to meet in our advisories to plan our journey toward senior year. We prayed together and played together, enjoying a beautiful day with some beautiful people!

Host an Exchange Student in the Fall of 2023!
Hosting a foreign exchange student is an amazing opportunity! MSM has been participating in the Dortmund exchange program for over 20 years. Please help us continue this amazing tradition by considering hosting Ines (age 15, sophomore). For more information please see below, or contact Mrs. Jo Ann Wiatrowski jwiatrowski@msmacademy.org directly and she will provide you with Ines' biography.
All German students come to Buffalo with their own spending money and health insurance, and all speak English. Students who attend MSM in the fall pay their own tuition. MSM families who have participated in these programs have had wonderful experiences. There are also unique opportunities through this program to visit your host student in her home country and explore some of her culture after her stay in the United States!
If you are interested or have ant questions, please contact Mrs.Jo Ann Wiatrowski at jwiatrowski@msmacademy.org or Ms. Lynn Engle, Buffalo-Dortmund Sister City Exchange Program coordinator, at lengle29@gmail.com or 716-989-8849.
