LLS Student Series Fundraiser
Over the next week we will participate in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Student Series Program. They will send us a Charlie Brown video about childhood cancer and we will participate in a fundraising event. Videos will also play on our DMS boards. Many of you may know that I have a friend who has been fighting breast cancer who also has a 6 year old daughter who is fighting Leukemia. When we were contacted by this program they asked if we had anyone that we would like to donate in honor of. I chose little Bryton. You can read her bio in the poster above. (I will let you (adults) know, Bryton is terminal, but we continue to pray for a miracle in her life) Bryton is a perfect example of a hero. I think that this season is a perfect time to teach our kids about generosity, compassion, and charity.
On FRIDAY during all lunch waves, we will participate in STUCK FOR A BUCK. Strips of duct tape will be sold for $1.00 each. I will let the kids ( and anyone else with a buck) stick to me the wall of the stage. A flier will go home tomorrow and I will do messengers each night this week. I hope that you will encourage your kiddos to bring in some bucks and participate in the fun.
If anyone has an extra roll of duct tape that you can donate to the cause it would be greatly appreciated!
