News from 4th Grade
Week of 2/12 - 2/17
News at a glace
- Lingle as a whole has been overcoming many illnesses. In an effort to reduce germs, we have been using Chlorox wipes frequently! A donation of wipes to our classroom would be greatly appreciated!
- There is no school this Monday, February 20th.
- The end of the 2nd trimester is March 1st. The reading goal project is also due this day.
Hershey Bears!
Two Hershey Bears player came to read a story to the school. They were also kind enough to take a picture with us :)
Valentine's Day celebration
Thank you to all the parents that came in to help with the party and sent in snack for us! The students had a great time and we all felt very loved from our valentines :)

Toby
Toby is still doing well in our room and is very popular. Recently he shed his entire body and his beard. Here Alyssa is holding him after his weekly bath.

Here Alyssa, Piper, Brynn and Keara are racing to get as many M&Ms in their cup as possible by only using chopsticks.
What we're learning this week...
Reading: Journey's
This week we’ll ask the question “How do people from different cultures contribute to American history?” In the biography Sacagawea, students will read about an indispensable member of the Lewis and Clark expedition. And Native American Nature Poetry will give students a glimpse into the relationship between Native Americans and the natural world.

- This week will we being learning the different types of triangles (scalene, acute, equilateral, right) and then move onto quadrilaterals.
- This week's fluency quiz will be for division facts 0-10. Our quiz will be on Tuesday.
- A homework sheet will go home TODAY with homework for the entire week. It will be a review of skills.
President Biographies
This week we have been researching a president for our biography project. The students used the internet to search for their presidents childhood, presidency accomplishments, cause of death, fun facts, etc. Next week we will use this information to compose an information paragraph about our presidents and present them to the class.
