Central Update Bulletin - Issue 29

Dr. Burns will be here Wednesday!

Our superintendent, Dr. Bobby Burns, will be here Wednesday at 3:15 to discuss the present and future of the district with our Central Staff. This is not a mandatory meeting, but would be good for you to attend if you'd care to learn more about where we are headed. Let me know if you have any questions.

Professional Dress on Wednesday for all Staff

In an effort to receive feedback and improve our practice, we are asking for your feedback in regards to TELPAS. Please take the time to provide us with feedback by April 8th. You can find the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7CVDQ7C

Reverse Evacuation/Shelter in Place Drill on the Horizon...Please read carefully!!!

Coming soon: Safety Drill known as Reverse Evacuation / Shelter In Place is coming up very soon. Please talk to your team mates and students THIS WEEK.

  • This drill is performed in response to a possible outside emergency occurring at the same time as a building evacuation (fire drill), and it is safer to return to the inside of the school building.
  • Once you have returned and are inside the building (or wherever you may be), go to your Shelter in Place location and EVERYONE should duck and cover.
  • Take the radios that have been assigned to you if you have one. Make sure the radio is charged, turned on, the volume is up, and hold it close to your ear.
  • Radio people are in charge of signaling everyone else to return to the building; staff, be attentive to people with radios.

The following people have radios: Atchison, Fulcher, Jackson, Victor Cruz, Carolina Rios, Mayberry, Moore, Rodriguez, Front Office

Learn More, Achieve More

In an effort to personalize the LMAM experience for Central I've created a TACKK highlighting some of the offerings I feel closely align with our current goals and information specific to Central Teachers. I will be updating this TACKK as information becomes available, so please bookmark it and come back to it as you plan your PD for the summer.
