6TH GRADE NEWSLETTER
JUNE 2022 EDITION
7TH GRADE, HERE WE COME!
We were able to see so much growth academically and socially as they reacclimated to what it was to be a student, friend, and part of the school community. As you take the next couple of months to relax and recharge, I encourage you to have your children do a few things:
- Reflect on what their 6th grade year was like. What do they feel went well, what do they want to improve upon?
- Spend time with family and friends.
- READ, READ, READ!!
It has been my absolute pleasure working with and getting to know them this year, and I look forward to continuing our journey in September. Enjoy your summer and see you soon. Miss everyone already!

FAST AND FURIOUS!
Within the course of our physics unit, students were presented with the challenge of building a car using ordinary, recycled materials to demonstrate what they've learned about Newton's Laws of Motion. Students explored how to decrease friction, how mass affects acceleration and inertia, and how the shape of an object can affect air resistance. Students competed to see whose car can travel the farthest distance.
