This information is crucial to various departments in the district, such as the main office, school nurse, and technology department. Beginning school in a new building can cause stress and anxiety for students of all ages, from kindergarten to high school. It's important that they feel at ease in their new learning environment. With this in mind, we have organized several orientation sessions to help students become familiar with the layout of their new school building.

BCSD will continue to provide breakfast and lunch for students in need. Students who qualify for free breakfast and lunch may also be eligible to have their school fees waived. Students who qualify for reduced breakfast and lunch for the 2023-2024 school year will receive free breakfast/lunch. Should you have questions regarding this process, please contact the Food Services Office at 330-273-0370.

Please complete and return the Household Information Survey application if you wish to maintain other benefits granted through free meal benefits such as P-EBT benefits and school fees waived.

The Federal Income Eligibility Guidelines will be used to determine eligibility. Children from families whose annual income is at or below the Federal Guidelines are eligible for free meal benefits.

Household Information Survey applications are available under the forms section of the website (click here) and at the main office in each school. To apply for free benefits, households should complete the application and return it to the school. A complete form is required. Households that currently receive Special Nutrition Assistance Program Benefits (SNAP, formally known as food stamps) or Ohio Works First (OWF) funds for a child must provide the child’s name and the SNAP or OWF case number and signature of an adult household member on the application. Households that do not receive SNAP or OWF funds must:

  • provide the names of all household members

  • provide the last four digits of the Social Security Number of the adult signing the application or state “none” if the adult does not have a Social Security number

  • provide the amount and source of income received by each household member (state the monthly income)

  • an adult household member must sign the application.

The school cannot process the application if any of this information is missing.
