Message from Brenda
Dear Parents, Caregivers and Students,
What a week of great celebration! Not only did we welcome in the Year of the Rooster with a lion dance on Monday morning but we officially opened our new Centre for Performing Arts and Sports with a number of fantastic items from the children this week. The students had lots of fun entering the hall together for the first time and participating in the Glenealy ‘dab’ photo below!
We look forward to the Year 4 and 6 show this evening. Doors will open at 6.15pm. There is no need to come before as every seat is a great seat in the new Centre! Thank you to all, for joining in the celebrations to ‘open’ our new Centre.
Mid year reports went live on Gateway last week. Please be sure to read your child's report as it contains information in the areas of Language (speaking and listening, reading and writing), Mathematics and Chinese.
Wishing you all health and happiness in the Year of the Rooster!
Happy holidays and Kung Hei Fat Choi!
Brenda

Glenealy Top Tech Tip
If your children are using Google at home, the 'SafeSearch' feature can help you block inappropriate images from your Google Search results. The SafeSearch filter isn’t quite 100% accurate, but it helps avoid most adult content.
1. Go to the Google home page. Find 'Settings' at the bottom right hand corner of the page. Click on 'Search Settings'
2. Under "SafeSearch filters," check or uncheck the box next to "Turn on SafeSearch."
3. At the bottom of the page, select Save.
Find more about how to set up SafeSearch here.
Illegal Car Parking
Please do not park in areas other than designated car parks and please inform your drivers. Should the illegal parking continue we will have no choice but to inform the police as our students safety always comes first.
School Uniform
Discounts on uniform – prices reduced on winter stock and larger sizes!
A reminder that prices of all of our winter uniform items have been reduced. Long-sleeved shirts and blouses are now only $60 and there are savings on our remaining fleeces, long trousers, sweatshirts and track pants. Our larger sizes are discounted even further so Year 5 and 6 students can look good and feel comfortable in uniform that fits.
Parents are kindly advised that after Chinese New Year, receipts are required for uniform returns or exchanges and these need to be within two weeks of purchase.
