Summary
Nina is a girl who lives in a town where 3rd children are illegal. Nina is a 3rd child so she got arrested. After weeks of being scared, hungry and cold she was asked to betray another 3rd child and his siblings. She said OK because she didn't want to be beheaded. So weeks and weeks after trying something happened. Read the book to find out.
Book Review
I liked this book because they are a lot of parts that get your adrenaline pumping. There are same happy and some sad parts, like when Nina goes to jail. There is a very happy ending with a surprise to it. I would not change the ending because I love how it made me feel and I love how there is a big surprise at the end.
Connections
Among the Betrayed reminded me of the book Among the Hidden because Nina and Luke had a secret ID.
This book reminded of Elsa and the movie Frozen because Elsa couldn't show people that she had magic. Just like how Nina couldn't show people how she is a 3rd child.
This book reminded me of when I had to go on the boat because I was scared of going on the boat and Nina was scared of going to jail.
Recommendation
I would recommend this book to my classmates because this is a perfect book to read when you have limited time so you can get a cliff hanger and be like "I want to read more, I want to read more".
If I were to describe this book I would say that it is very suspenseful.
