Principal's Den
I hope you are all doing well as we prepare to start the holiday season. This week we will celebrate our students starting on Monday and Tuesday with our trimester awards. If your student is receiving an award for first trimester, your teacher will be notifying you of the date and time of your ceremony. The ceremonies will also be accessible through Zoom and your teachers will provide you with the classroom link.
This month we continue to celebrate Native American Heritage Month. Our students will be learning about various Native American leaders.
Next week school will not be in session in observance of Thanksgiving Break. We wish you all health and joy with your friends and family.
It is very important that all families complete the annual information update. It is very important that we have 100% completion rate. At last count we had a completion rate of 81%. If you have not completed the survey, we will be calling to remind and support you through the process. Please make sure that you have completed the update or contact our office for support. We will be more than happy to help. Thank you for your support.
Thank you for your support in keeping all of our kids safe. This includes respecting school zone speed limits and looking out for our pedestrians. I appreciate you for helping students cross the street and for your patience during drop-off and pick-up. Now that we have our TK also dismissing at 2:05pm we have more vehicles and traffic during pick-up. Please plan accordingly. We are trying our best to supervise our students during dismissal. Thank you for your understanding and for giving yourself enough time during after school pick-up.
Thank you all for your continued support. Together we will work to make this the best school year for our lions! LEADERS BY EXAMPLE!!
Thank you,
At Cloverdale we strive to be Leaders by Example. As I mention to our students during announcements, this means that we always try to do the right thing even when no one is looking.
As part of our school's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS), we also learn to ROAR. This is a matrix that exemplifies our core values of being Respectful, Organized, Accountable, and Responsible.
Our goal is to be college ready once we graduate from High School and that starts today!
Sincerely,
Genaro García
Principal
