Principal's Piece
Tena Koutou Katoa Weber whanau,
I hope everyone is having a great week and enjoying the lovely weather we have had. We have had a busy two weeks with Pet day and Athletics.
Thank you to everyone who came and suppported our Pet day, it was so great to see so many families. The students did an amazing job of sharing their animals. A huge thank you also to those who donated baking for the bake sale, we raised an outstanding $475 - this money will go towards our next green team project. Thanks also to Harvey and Toni are fantastic judges, Davinia Leipst for taking the photos and to the parents/ caregivers who helped on the day at the bake sake and cooked sausages.
A huge thank you to McFalls for the very kind donation of the sausages on the day, they were a great
hit !
Yesterday we held our School Athletics and what a great success the day was- well done to all our tamarki for giving everything a go, trying their very best and supporting others. Once again it was great to see some many of our families at school sharing the day with their children. Thank you also to all those who helped on events, we so appreciate it.
Thank you for your continued support.
Warm regards
Lisa

🐝 Weber School Working Bee 🐝
Sunday 13 November
10am - 1pm (max)
We’d love some parent help at school for a working bee on Sunday 13th Nov from 10am - 1pm (max) to build and install shelves in our brand-new greenhouse which has been kindly funded by Tararua Reap, and to help with a few other odd jobs to make our school grounds look amazing before the summer break.
What we need ...
20 lengths of 125mm x 30mm (yard timer) at least 3.6m long
BYO Tools - saws or a drop saw, nails, hammers, tape measures and levels.
Our tamariki are so excited to get into some more hands-on learning raising vegetables and natives in the new greenhouse and the shelves will be the last piece of the project.
Look out for an email and google doc and let us know if you can help and if you are able to kindly donate any of the timber needed, and bring along the tools required.
Thanks so much.

Bridge Inspections - Starting 14th November
Bridge Inspections
Beginning the week of 14.11.2022 through until 01.12.2022 Tararua Alliance will be carrying out principal bridge inspections on behalf of Tararua District Council. The attachment below shows a list of bridges, the dates expected to be done and expected delays at each bridge.
They aim to clear bridges as quickly as possible for emergency services and reduce wait times for school buses. Some of the dates may be subject to change and weather delays may mean not all bridges listed will be inspected.
They aim to not hold the buses up but there may be delays, so if buses are later than expected and these bridges are out your way not to worry.
Gift Basket Donations
This year at the Weber Christmas Market, there will be a basket of goodies up for grabs on behalf of the school. If you have any tasty treats or homemade goodies that you would like to donate to our gift basket, they will be gratefully received, please bring into the office.
😷Sick Bay Bedding. 🤕
If anyone has any spare bedding (pillowcases, sheets & duvet covers) they would like to donate to our sickbay please drop off to the office.
Thank you
