Ways to put out a Kitchen fire
- Use the right fire extinguisher to put out a small fire.
- Use baking soda, salt, or a fire extinguisher to put out a grease fire. Water may cause grease to spatter and burn you.
- Put the cover on pan or close appliance door if food is burning inside. This will smother the fire.
- Turn-off the heat source or disconnect the appliance.

If you try to move the pan you can end up burning yourself or possibly landing on a flammable object.
