Welcome!
From the District Administrator's Office
We are welcoming two new School Board members to our Board. Danielle Zimmer and Sam Stewart have been sworn in and officially become Board members on Monday, April 24. Julie Hauser was also re-elected for a seventh term on the Board.
This will be Danielle Zimmer's first term on the School Board. After taking a year off, Sam Stewart will begin his seventh term.
I would like to thank Rick Kenealy and Darrell Gago for their service to the school district as their terms end.

From the Elementary Principal's Office
With all of the April showers and warmer spring weather we are already enjoying the May flowers with the daffodils in our 4YK playground area. I am hoping that the playground area will be able to dry up a bit over the the weekend because we have some muddy areas.
We will be finishing up with the Forward Exams next week and I am proud of the effort of our students as they take their time to read and work out each problems.
I would like to thank Darrell Gago and Rick Kenealy for the time and effort they have invested into the Flambeau School District as school board members.
On April 20th we had a program in Chippewa Falls to recognize the Foster Grandparents that volunteer at the school. The theme was "Ordinary to Extraordinary" and that is what Grandma LaVina Erke, IdaMay vanDoorn, Danielle Kanning, and Priscilla Stanger are at our school. They help out in different classrooms, but the extraordinary part is the way in which they are able to make the students feel special and successful with the time spent working together. Thanks for your time spent here working with our staff and students.

From the Middle/High School Principal's Office
It was wonderful to see so many students at this year’s Prom! Students seemed to have a great time making memories with friends and were very upbeat. Congratulations to Prom King and Queen, Jacob Burch and Chloe Skogstad.
Next week is FFA Week. Mrs. Bernecker and the FFA will be making muffins after school on Monday night and delivering those muffins Tuesday morning to local farmers. Wednesday, students will be driving their tractors to school and the AG Olympics will be held during resource. Thursday the AG room will host their annual petting zoo and Friday will wrap up the week with the FFA Banquet at 6:30. There will be FFA-themed dress up days each day. We hope to have many participants!
Also, this week marks the end of the school board terms for Darrell Gago and Rick Kenealy. These two have been instrumental on our team, and have made many strides to help our students be the best they can be. Sam Stewart and Danielle Zimmer will be taking office as new school board members. I am looking forward to working with them again and know that their ideas and contribution will be very beneficial to our school. Also, I want to send out a congratulations to Julie Hauser, who was re-elected to our school board. Julie has been on the school board for 18 years, which is an amazing accomplishment!
Enjoy the sun!

Our state-bound Forensics team left today for their competition. I always enjoy seeing them perform, and learning more about the topics they choose. Good luck to them, you'll represent Flambeau well!
At this week's School Board meeting, Cassie Freeman performed a song and a xylophone solo for everyone. They are her performances for solo & ensemble, and it was a treat to see. State Solo & Ensemble is May 6th at UW-Eau Claire.
Next week is FFA week, one of my favorite events we participate in at Flambeau. They will be holding their annual "Drive Your Tractor to School Day" on Wednesday and petting zoo open to the community on Thursday. They'll also be doing Ag Olympics and muffin delivery to farmers again this year.
