2023 National Merit Scholarship Program Recognition: Of the more than 1.3 million students who took the PSAT last fall, 50,000 of the highest scorers (top 3.8%!) are being recognized as either Semifinalists or Commended Students. This alone is a major accomplishment and they will move on to compete for a National Merit Scholarship.
