A Message from Our Principal
Yesterday was the end to the Christmas Liturgical Season in the Catholic Church. It was also the First Sunday in Ordinary Time. The word “Ordinary” is from the Latin, to order. It means that Winter Ordinary time begins telling the story of the life of Jesus.
The first story / Gospel tells of how John the Baptist baptized Jesus and the Heavens opened, the Holy Spirit descended like a dove, and God said, “You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased.”
Thanks to all parents for your cooperation in dropping off your children in the school cafeteria. Your children are wonderful. Additionally, we are trying out an intercom system at our main entry door. This is NOT for our families. It’s being proactive in trying to screen visitors who we do not know and to keep the school safer.
Roe Memorial Mass and North Texas March for Life Events
On Saturday, January 19, 2019, North Texas will mark the 46th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, legalizing abortion in America and leading to the death of over 59 million unborn children. Join Bishop Edward Burns, Bishop of Diocese of Dallas, with thousands of people of faith to pray and march for LIFE. Come for all or some of the events... just be sure to come!
Please visit the website, https://www.prolifedallas.org/Roe_Memorial_Events, for details.
Peace in Christ,
