First Day of School
Welcome back, Hughes Hawks! We can't wait to see you in the morning for the first day of remote learning. Your teachers have been working hard to prepare for the big day. We will NOT be in person until September 14th, but we will still one another via Zoom starting Thursday, August 20th! The first day usually has some snags, so let's plan to give one another some grace. We will lift up one another and express kindness. Your teachers have sent out their links to Zoom and the schedule for tomorrow. It is going to be a great first day! Goooooo Hawks!
Meet the Counselor
Mrs. Tracy Reynolds is the new counselor at Hughes Elementary. This is her 8th year as an elementary school counselor and she is excited to serve our campus. If you have encountered any hardships due to COVID or your child may need a little extra support with his/her anxiety, making friends, family situations, learning struggles, etc., please don't hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Reynolds. She is happy to help in any way that she can. Her e-mail is tracy.reynolds@nisdtx.org
Important Information from Nurse Foresman
The school nurse will have a medication drop off Wednesday and Thursday 6:30am -8:30am and 3:30pm-5:30pm. You can call the office at 817-698-1900 when you are at the front of the school, and the nurse will come to your car to pick up the medication AND the medication administration form. You must have both the medication and the form filled out to drop off. Any scheduled medications and as needed medications that will be given more than 10 times in a school year must be signed by a physician. Mrs. Foresman will have more drop off times the following week as well. Thank you! She is looking forward to meeting everyone.
