Welcome to CBH!
The Clara Barton Hawthorne school year has gotten off to a great start! It is so nice to have students back in the buildings. Our students are working hard to learn all the new patterns and procedures that are needed to make it through the school day.
Please contact the main office if you would like to schedule a meeting with Ms. Folden or Mrs. Rainsberry to discuss a concern. We look forward to hearing from you and helping with any questions or concerns you may have.

Tardy Procedure
The following is the late/tardy procedure that is followed at CBH. This is a school-wide plan that will take place in each classroom. Our goal is to have all students ready to learn when the day starts.
Thank you for your help in reaching our goal.
- Students will be in the classroom once the second bell rings.
- They will be prepared and ready for their day.
- Any students who walk into the classroom after the second bell will be marked tardy by the classroom teacher.
- Once lunch count is submitted, any students who enter the classroom need to report to the office for a tardy slip.
- Once having entered the classroom, students must have teacher permission to leave the classroom for any reason.
School Counselor Information---Mrs. Jorgenson
Parent/Guardians of virtual academy students
I wanted to send a quick note about counseling for students in the virtual academy. Even though we are apart, your children are still my students and I am still here for you. If you ever have any questions or concerns regarding your child, please feel free to call me or send me an email. I am more than happy to meet with your child over zoom, or even in person if they would like to pop into school. Additionally, FPS counselors are creating video lessons throughout the year that your child should have access to through their virtual teacher. Please let me know if you have any questions about that.
I hope you are healthy and well! I will be missing you, but hope to see you soon!
Parents/Guardians of hybrid/in-person students
I am so excited to see all the smiling faces (under their masks) of CBH students! I am still at both Clara Barton and Hawthorne campuses, but my schedule has changed a little bit. During Hybrid instruction, I will be at each building for a full week at a time. I started the week of September 2nd-4th at the Hawthorne campus, so I will be at the Clara Barton campus the week of September 8th-11th and will continue to rotate each week. I will be providing one video lesson and one in-person lesson each month. Teachers may show my video in class, or they may assign it as a distance learning assignment. The classroom activity that I will come in for will be directly related to the video each month.
I will continue to meet with students to provide support as needed. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child, please feel free to call me or send me an email.
