A Principal's Perspective
As you know we are opening a new elementary school, River Bend. We currently have 758 students enrolled at GP. Next year we are projected to have 556. Knowing that we have a large portion of our student body transferring to the new school, we will have to staff accordingly for GP and River Bend. As I receive information from Central Office about staffing, I want to share that information with you. Monday, I would like to meet with all grade level K-4th classroom teachers at 7:30 in the art room to share the projections, discuss staffing and next steps in planning for next year. Morning duties will be covered so that all classroom teachers can attend the meeting. I want to provide information as it is shared with me, answer questions and help navigate this process successfully. As a growing community and school family, opening a new school is not new to us. With continuous communication, I know that this process will be successful as well.
Be innovative - Design the possibilities!
