Lansing Elementary Weekly Update
Newsletter for the Lansing Elementary School Family
February 24, 2024
Dear Families,
We had a busy week! On Monday we had a holiday and Tuesday was a staff training day. We had our K-5 PTA meeting on Thursday and Friday we had our Black History Presentation. We also welcomed our first Community Connect Volunteer on Friday. Mr. Josh Gatewood spent his entire day with us. He welcomed students at kindergarten drop off, he assisted with supervision at recess and lunch and he helped at dismissal as well as in a variety of other capacities. Thank you Mr. Gatewood for spending a day with us!
This week we have our kindergaten field trip on Monday, our Late Start on Thursday and our Maintenance & Grounds Workers Appreciation Day on Friday. We also have our PRIDE Assemblies on Friday. This month we are celebrating the character trait of "Diligence", or working hard and doing it well.
We have received 251 Family Engagement Survey responses so far. Thank you for completing our survey! We use the results of this survey to determine how we are interacting with our community and in which areas we can improve. The winning class at each grade level by % of respondents will receive a prize. Please use this link to access our Family Engagement Survey and enter your student(s) for a prize: https://forms.gle/a54vjJ8A1WD7MtUy9
