Cold Weather Gear
This year, it is even more important to make sure that students bring boots, hats, snow pants, and gloves because each cohort has an assigned area on the playground during recess and they must stay in that area.
Boots and snow pants help keep shoes and pants from getting wet, cold and muddy.

Supporting the 7 Habits at home!
February At Home Activity
This month’s Habit: Habit 3 Put First Things First
Activity: Plan one-on-one Time
Due Date: February 26th
Please see attached activities below. We would love to have you share your Plan for one-on-one Time with us by February 26th, so we can proudly display our families practicing the 7-Habits at home!
Habit #3 Put First Things First- "Work First, Then Play"
What this means: Focus on what is important, schedule the important things first. Don’t be a dreamer - stay focused!
“I spend my time on things that are most important.”
“I say no to things I know I should not do.”
“I set priorities, make a schedule, and follow my plan.”
“I am disciplined and organized.”
How can I do this in my life?
1. Do your homework as soon as you come home from school.
2. Do something you have been putting off for a long time.
3. Think about your most important responsibilities. Do them first.
Great Books for Habit #3- Put First Things First
The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
Pokey and the Spelling Test by Sean Covey
How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss
Whistle for Willie by Ezra Jack Keats
Froggy Gets Dressed by Jonathan London
The Little Red Hen by Paul Galdone

UPDATED SYMPTOM SCREENING TOOL AND REMINDER
The Wayne County Health Department has updated the COVID-19 Daily Symptom Screening Tool STUDENT (1.8.2021) to reflect the reflect the importance of not sending a child to school with a fever over 100.3 F with or without other symptoms and the CDC recommendation of a 10 day quarantine period for those without symptoms that are identified as close contacts to a positive COVID-19 case. It is important to continue to closely monitor your child for symptoms using this updated screener tool prior to sending your child to school. This continued effort by all parents will allow us to maintain a safe environment for all students and staff and support our ability to provide continued in-person learning for all students.
