CTE in ACTION
NOTE: If you need to purchase materials, please send Terri Evans and myself the information. I'll provide approval, then Terri will order online or you can use the credit card to purchase locally. Again, these will be limited; but we have a process in place.
Continuation of Learning
Main ah-ha's, clarifications and other feedback:
1. Student Connectivity: Use the YHS SLC conference spreadsheets to see if your students have access to technology and internet. This will save you time in determining how to connect with students. Look for instructions on how to contribute data if you have made contact and it isn't listed in the document. Let's keep narrowing down who needs paper.
2. Distribution of Materials: Admin is working on a "system" distribution plan. We have large envelopes ready if you do have packet materials. Please send your requests to me. I will coordinate with Terri, Kathi and Deb in preparing materials for distribution. Again, less paper the better.
3. Grading: Give yourself and the district some time to figure out the "letter" grade issues. For now, identify the activities students will do and how you will provide feedback on their demonstration of learning. Yes, track student progress, how you communicated feedback and what they still need to do to show achievement. This will help to determine their competency of the learning goals.
4. Google Classroom: Remember to add me as a CO-TEACHER. As a student, I get every email or post you make. So glad you are connecting with students, but my email is blowing up :)
5. SSPGs: I'll review the SSPGs this weekend. Unless you hear from me, proceed as you have planned.
Email, call, or Zoom; I'm here!

Career Connected Learning
"ZOOM into a CAREER" - Virtual Guest Speaker
The Tech Comm teachers are jumping right in to creating short ZOOM interviews with business and industry partners. We are developing a structure for these interviews. The goal is to make these LIVE to WATCH, but we will definitely RECORD interviews for access later. This is a work in progress, but we are very excited to kick this off. More to come...
