Dear OUSD Community,
As the 2021-22 school year comes to a close, I would like to congratulate our promoting students and graduating Class of 2022, as well as acknowledge our wonderful Orange Unified community. This has been an exciting year with much to celebrate.
For the third consecutive year, Canyon, El Modena, and Villa Park were once again recognized as U.S. News & World Report’s “Best High Schools in the Nation,” McPherson Magnet and Villa Park High School were the only two public schools in Orange County recognized as Project Lead the Way Distinguished Schools, and seven of our school sites - along with the District as a whole - were recognized by the California Department of Education for the successful implementation of “Pivotal Practices” in 2022.
On behalf of the OUSD Board of Education and District leadership, thank you for your collaboration in support of our efforts to serve the diverse needs of our students and families. We would not have been able to successfully continue the important work of educating and serving our students without you and your partnership.
Message for the Class of 2022
Dear Class of 2022,
These past few years have been unlike any before them, and you have each proven that you can overcome, you can thrive, and you can achieve anything you put your mind to. You are certainly an inspiration to so many.
We are incredibly proud of what you have accomplished in high school and look forward to what the future holds for each of you. We encourage you to stay focused on the pursuit of your dreams and goals. It is an exciting time when you have your whole life ahead of you with lots to discover while you carve your own path.
Make good choices and stay true to yourself. Even when it gets tough, keep moving forward. This is only the beginning of even more great things to come for you!
