LTHS- Computer Cart Issues
- Carts must be returned at the end of your reservation. This will solve a LOT of our problems!
- When you come to get a cart, do not take a cart you have not reserved. We end up in a weird domino effect where then someone else comes in and can't find the cart they reserved. You can either track down the cart you are supposed to have OR reserve a new cart.
- When you return a cart, it should be plugged in and it should be in it's parking spot. We are re-hanging the signs so you know where they go.
-All carts should be signed out on the clipboard.
If you send students to pick up or return carts, they must follow all of these rules too! Please make them aware!
Tool of the Week- Quizizz
Check out this Geometry example- I borrowed from 5 or 6 different quizzes and wrote one question myself! Go to http://join.quizizz.com/ Enter the code 891610 to play.
Quizizz also autosaves your material so you don't lose anything AND you login with your Google account. You can play live (like Kahoot) or you can assign a quiz for Homework (which just means self-paced). You can even assign a quiz straight to your Google Classroom. You can have Quizizz jumble the question order, jumble the answer choices, and you can choose if you want to provide the answers after each question, all at the end of the quiz, or not at all. The timer is optional and you can choose to give more points for faster answers (like Kahoot) but you can also turn that off which I think is really nice for a lot of our kiddos.
Plus, they show funny memes at the end of each question. Who doesn't like that?
There is an iOS app for this or you can play in a browser (aka, a Chromebook would work). We have this loaded now on the lTHS iPads.

Google Expeditions is ready to go!
If you need to browse expeditions, the BEST way to do that is by downloading the Expeditions app on your phone or tablet, entering as a guide, and then browsing. We do have this app on the iPads at LTHS if you need to come and browse. There is a spreadsheet with a list of expeditions here that you can look for as well. Once you open that list, you can go to File > Add to My Drive and then the list will always be handy for you in your Google Drive!
