A Message From the Principal
Welcome back all students and families-
We are looking forward to a great school year. These first days of school are about establishing routines, procedures, and students connecting with their peers to build strong relationships within the classroom. Ms. VanderSchaaf and I spoke to each class about their jobs here at school which are to be respectful and to learn. We cannot wait to celebrate their positive behaviors and learning.
Speaking of routines, you can support your child by making sure that he/she reads every night, has a chore to practice responsibility, and has a set bedtime so that he/she gets plenty of rest and gets up in the morning ready to do his/her best in school.
I look forward to working with all of you again this year, the last and BEST year at Rusch Elementary.

A Message from Your NEW Dean of Students
Dear Ruschies,
We are so happy to welcome you back to Rusch for a wonderful year of learning! I am very excited to get to know each and every one of you this year. This month we will continue to talk a lot about the character trait of Respect. Respect means treating others how you would like to be treated. Everybody is unique in their own way and it's our differences that make us special. Recognizing, appreciating, and accepting that everybody has their own unique experiences, interests, and strengths which may be different than your own is the first step in establishing strong, respectful relationships with your fellow students and the staff here at Rusch. I will be stopping in during your lunch and recess times throughout the month of September to talk more with you about respect and to recognize those of you who are demonstrating this wonderful skill during this time at school with Warrior Buck rewards!
I am looking forward to sharing a wonderful year at Rusch Elementary with you.
Ms. VanderSchaaf

We also need to know if they have a Dr appointment or will be tardy or need to leave early.
If their transportation home changes from what they normally do the office needs this information prior to 2:30pm. We keep everyone safe with the latest intel.
Regarding EARLY RELEASE FRIDAYS it is especially important for you to let us - and your child - know how your child will get home. Please call the office.
