Bishop-Elect Malone's Going Away Celebration
The students, faculty, staff, parents, and friends of CTK celebrated Bishop-Elect Malone today at his farewell celebration. Jr. High students shared their favorite memories, younger students sent him off with advice, he was presented with a painting that every student and teacher helped create, he received a box with everyone's advice and memories, a monetary gift, watched a slideshow of pictures of him throughout the years, the choir sang the Irish Blessing to him and last but not least the entire school sent him off with their best advice, "don't do anything stupid and don't take any unnecessary risks!"
Pre-K Sang Christmas Carols to the Seniors
CTK Pre-K students sang Christmas carols to the members of the Senior Ministry this week. They brought lots of Christmas joy and had a great time!
First Grade Christmas Pageant
First Graders helped us remember the true meaning of Christmas today at the First Grade Christmas Pageant.
Santa's Secret Shop Success!
It was another Santa's Secret Shop success! Students enjoyed all the fun SSS had to offer, including the photo booth, candy bar, pictures with Santa, crafts, shopping, raffle baskets, and more! It took many volunteers to pull it off, plus some generous sponsors (The Moore Family, The Crowder Family, The Goodwin Family, and Agency 501.) Because of your support, Santa's Secret Shop raised $18,711, which doesn't even include money brought in for Santa letters, pictures, or crafts.
Christmas Band and Choir Concert
Students enjoyed the Band and Choir Concert, especially the sing-along songs!
CTK Students Make All Region Band
Four CTK students made the Arkansas School Band and Orchestra Association Junior High All-Region Honor Band. Eric Frank on percussion, Jack Uekman on tuba, Ann Marie Nguyen on clarinet, and Grace Moody on trumpet. Congratulations band members and Mr. G!
PTO Teachers' Appreciation Luncheon
Our PTO volunteers spoiled the faculty and staff at the PTO Teachers' Appreciation Luncheon this week. We appreciate all their hard work in putting these luncheons together throughout the year!
"We Care" Success
Through the generosity of our parents, thousands of items were collected and distributed to families in need this holiday season. Blankets, winter gear, toiletries, diapers, toys, and much more were donated and will be appreciated by so many!
Twelve Days of Christmas
Faculty and Staff had a jolly time with the "12 Days of Christmas" fun! Each day brought a new theme or activity, including "Christmas Vacation", "Santa's Workshop", "Deck the Halls", and more. The crowd favorite was the "Christmas Goose Chase", a picture and video scavenger hunt!
Spreading Christmas Cheer
Third graders visited our neighbors at Easter Seals. They sang Christmas carols and distributed handmade Christmas cards.
CTK Band Marched in Christmas Parade
The CTK Band Marched in the Little Rock Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 7th. They spent many mornings practicing on the soccer field and were excited to show off their hard work!
Third Grade Authors
CTK’s very own authors pose with a copy of their published books! Third graders wrote about the things they are thankful for and couldn’t wait to read and share with each other.
Caroling with the Choir
The CTK Choir spread Christmas joy with their Christmas carols. They serenaded the patients and visitors at the UAMS Cancer Center and then performed in the rotunda at the State Capitol.
Hundreds of Books Donated to Helping Hand
Students, teachers, and parents donated hundreds of books for the Jr. High Book Drive. Eighth graders loaded them up this morning and the books are on their way to Helping Hand!
Win for the CTK Quiz Bowl Team
Congratulations to the CTK Quiz Bowl team for winning 2nd place at the Catholic High Quiz Bowl Tournament. William Aclin even placed among the all-tournament players!
