The Two-Minute Drill to Parenting: Molding Your Son into a Man
Wednesdays, March 9-May 4 at 6:15 p.m. in the Training Room
The Two-Minute Drill to Parenting is John Croyle's game plan to help moms and dads make sure their sons are ready for authentic manhood. The study is based on Croyle's life and experience parenting more than 1,800 troubled, abused, and neglected boys and girls on the Big Oak Ranch, as well as his two biological children, Reagan and Brodie. Led by Joy and Hal Riddle, Croyle drills down into seven actionable life principles drawn from the word "manhood" itself. Books are available for $10 each. See Hal.

Camp Sumatanga
Registration is now open for summer camp for children that have completed 5K-5th grade at Sumatanga (located about 40 minutes north of us in Gallant, AL).
Children that have completed kindergarten-second grade go to day camp Monday, June 13th -Friday, June 17th. The church will provide transportation to and from each day. Typically we take about 35 children to/from daily for an awesome experience. Friends are welcome to join us. Each year, the church budgets for its families to receive funds to help pay for Sumatanga. Day campers receive $50 towards their cost of camp ($125). Scholarships are available.
Overnight camp is for those children that have completed third-fifth grade. Parents will take their children to camp on Sunday, June 12th and pick them up on Friday, June 17th. Each year, the church budgets for its families to receive funds to help pay for Sumatanga. Overnight campers receive $150 towards their cost of camp; a tiered fee schedule is attached with the application. The tier payment schedule allows parents to choose what works best for them by paying the week camp fee ranging from $370 per camper to $450. Children get the same experience no matter which option the parent chooses. For more information or questions about the fee please email Jamie at Sumatanga, registrar@sumatanga.org. Scholarships are available.
Rising 6th graders: You have another option! Junior High Extreme Adventure Camp June 26th - July 1st! If you are a rising 6th-8th grade student looking for a camp to head to this summer...look no further than Sumatanga's Extreme Adventure Camp. This camp is for anyone who likes outdoor adventure experiences like rock climbing, hiking, lake swims, and more. This camp also offers the best in big group games. On top of all of that, we will be experiencing incredible worship and fellowship in the wonderful atmosphere at Pool Camp! Check out www.sumatanga.org for registration info. The church will pay $150 towards the cost for you should you choose this option. Feel free to contact Drake, director of youth ministries, at the church. Drake will also be leading this camp so it’s great opportunity for your soon-to-be middle schooler to spend some time with Drake and get to know him.
I urge you to go ahead and register your child for camp (I have been told they are not blocking any spots for us). You can do so by paying a $50 non-refundable deposit. You can register by paper or on-line paying with a credit card (yes, on-line is up and working). Feel free to give your paper application and $50 non-refundable deposit to me. I will mail applications I receive. Please be advised if you pay by credit card there is a 4.5% processing fee. For on-line registration or just to see what Sumatanga is about go to www.Sumatanga.org. Feel free to ask me any questions you have. Trust me I’ve heard them all. Let me ease your mind parents of kindergartners that your children are VERY supervised. This includes swimming! They won’t let your child in the deep end if they can’t pass a swim test. Your child’s safety is VERY important to Sumatanga.
