Showcase
I’m sure all those who came along to watch our Year 1 tamariki perform in yesterday’s ‘Showcase’ appreciated the talent and enthusiasm on display from our young performers.
It’s always a pleasure to see students enjoy a moment in the spotlight in front of a crowd, especially for those younger children for whom it may be a whole new experience.
You’ll be aware that the teaching teams work hard encouraging, choreographing and rehearsing with their classes to achieve this – it’s always something they are proud to see come together, not to mention a relief to see their classes remember all their parts, songs and routines (for the most part, at least!).
Shows like these are always unique shared moments where the real world can be briefly suspended. For us as adults, it’s a great opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate the children’s developing creativity, confidence, camaraderie, and expression.
Tonight, it's the turn of the Y2 children, who I have no doubt will put on an equally entertaining performance!
Cross Country
Cross-country managed to press on ahead despite a close call with the weather – well done to all our runners, particularly those qualifying Year 5’s and 6’s we will be cheering on at Zones - thanks go to our helpers and Sports Coordinator, Karen Moore, as always!
Magic Result!
On another high note (‘spoiler alert’ for the full PTA announcement below), suffice to say we are simply amazed at the result of the ‘Magic Spells’ fundraiser!
It’s testament not only to the support of an outstanding PTA team, but also a tremendous effort from staff, parents and students – what a result!

We need a parent with a van or similar that could help us by collecting 20 trestle tables and 3 gazebo from a neighbouring school. These would need to be collected during school hours on Friday 16 June and returned on Monday 19 June.
Please email menpspta@gmail.com if you can help.
Donate raffle items
For the Prize draw & raffle stall we are collecting donations for a raffle basket of treats (no alcohol items thanks). Please drop off your contributions to a box in the school office.
Qualified medical help to be on call/on site during the festival
Please be our medically qualified person on site - for 90 minutes per person. You would be on call if there is first aid needed that can’t be treated with a plaster etc. If you are already on site helping with a stall then we’d like to have you on call during that time. Please email menpspta@gmail.com.
Help on our festival stalls needed
We are excited to be running a few favourite fair stalls at this event and some new stalls celebrating Chinese culture.
Please sign up to help with a stall at our festival while your kids have fun with all of the activities.
A MASSIVE thank you to the Chinese families of MENPS and some experienced fair stall holders for being stall coordinators for this event.

THANK YOU for your support!
Together we raised a phenomenal $29,605 profit for MENPS!
(This profit accounts for donations received via our Go Raise It website, cash donations and fees associated with the website.) All PTA funds raised are invaluable and help us to sustain many of the aspects of school life and resourcing that we don’t receive funding from the government for. Read more here.
Thank you to our wonderful teaching staff for your time and enthusiasm teaching the lists and running the Magic Spells challenges! And a big shout out to all students for working so hard learning their words in preparation for the Magic Spells challenges!
