Did you know that The Battle of Kings Mountain was the only battle that people did not know exactly were it took place? First I will tell you about the generals of the battle. Second I will tell you how The Battle of Kings Mountain was caused. And lastly I will tell you about the fighting. I bet you will find some cool information if you keep reading.

Generals

The two generals in The Battle of Kings Mountain are Major Patrick Ferguson and William (British) and William Campbell. Patrick Ferguson was born on June 4th 1744. William Campbell was born in 1745. William Campbell was born in the state of North Carolina. Patrick Ferguson was the second son of James Ferguson of pitfour. There were other generals but these two were the main ones.

Leading up to the battle

There was not research stating that patriots did anything. One thing the British did was send a threatening note. A second thing they did was capture Georgia and South Carolina. The last thing they did was general Cornwallis was in the process of sending troops to North Carolina then Virginia. The equipment the patriots used was hunting gear and hunting muskets. The items the British used was bayonets, muskets, and war clothes. That is what led up to The Battle of Kings Mountain.

The Fighting

Now the battle had began. The battle was fought in North Carolina and South Carolina. The patriots sent the best monte of frontier men. 1200 british were killed, 290 were wounded, and 163 were captured. 29 patriots were killed, 58 were wounded, and 0 were captured. The battle was fought on October 10th, 1780. That was The Battle of Kings Mountain.
