Welcome to term 3 we are looking forward to learning about local waihi history and a focus on mining and visiting Martha mine. We will also be celebrating daffodil day on August
26 and fundraising for cancer while wearing something yellow. We look forward to being your editors this term.
Sacred Prayer Spaces
Last Friday We got to make sacred spaces. We get to use materials to make sacred spaces. We worked with kids across the school. It's about the Holy Spirit and Jesus,God and Mary .
Cook Island Language Week

The theme reflects the overarching 2022 Pacific Language Week theme of Sustainability, by linking the importance of language sharing and cultural heritage being handed down over generations.
Birthday for Te reo Māori language
The Reo Māori language celebrates its 35th birthday today.Te Reo Māori became an official language of Aotearoa New Zealand on this day 35 years ago.
New Zealand now has a goal of at least 1 million fluent speakers by 2040.
This is one of the goals of the Maihi Karauna which was launched in 2019

This Weeks Value of the week
This term our focus is on the Value of Compassion/ Aroha.
We can follow the example of the Mercy Sisters and learn how we can be compassionate to others.
