This was first flight ever done flying solo across the Atlantic Ocean. America needed a 'hero' in aviation because they were behind on the aviation category. The British and the French were ahead in discoveries in aviation. Having Lindbergh do this amazing flight sparked Americans into aviation.

Charles A. Lindbergh did many amazing things in his life. He was an aviator, author, inventor, military officer, explorer, and social activist through his life. When he was an aviator, he became the first person in history to be in New York one day and Paris the next with the solo flight . The record setting flight took 33 hours and 30 minutes.

America was very influenced after the flight of Charles A. Lindbergh. The flight sparked many Americans to go in the career of aviation. People considered Charles Lindbergh a hero what he did.
The impact it did on American literature was that it produced more books focusing on happiness. The biography about the flight made Americans inspired to do things that were considered impossible or really challenging. It also focused on things for the future. It made writers write about what the future could possibly hold for the United States.
