WOLVES WIN!
The Chandler Wolves defeated the Highland Hawks 36-35 in overtime on Friday to advance to the 6A State Football Championship for the fourth time in five years. The Wolves will take on the Perry Pumas on Saturday, December 1st at 4:30pm at ASU Sun Devil Stadium. Students, watch for spirit bus, pep rally, and lunchtime tailgate party info coming soon. Ticket info is also forthcoming. Let’s cheer the Wolves on to a 3rd consecutive state title. Go Wolves!

PLAYERS UP FOR DOHERTY AWARD
Decarlos Brooks, Jacob Conover, and Brayden Liebrock earned Ed Doherty Nomination Medallions for outstanding performances during the 2018 football season. One player from Arizona will be named the recipient of the Ed Doherty Award on December 8th. Congrats and good luck, Wolves!
CHEER QUALIFIES FOR STATE
Congratulations to Varsity Cheer for qualifying for State! The team, under the direction of Ms. Kendra Van Norman, will compete at State on February 9th. Great job, Wolves!
THANKSGIVING FAMILY ASSISTANCE DAY
Thanks to everyone who donated goods for the Chandler Care Center’s Thanksgiving Family Assistance Day. Student Council delivered a small bus and two trucks full of donations to the Care Center last Thursday. On Friday, StuCo showed up at the Care Center with 51 turkeys. CHS’s Wrestlers also helped distribute donations at Saturday’s event. CHS is proud to be part of such a caring community!
DANCE CONCERT
Last Thursday’s “Just for a Moment” Dance Concert featuring Modazz, Advanced Dance and Improv was fantastic! The dancers choreographed and performed 19 numbers in front of a full CCA house. Well done!

ACADEMIC DECATHLON
This weekend, the CHS Academic Decathlon Team competed at the Hamilton Invitational Tournament. Students gave speeches, were interviewed, wrote essays, and took tests in 7 subject areas relating to our theme of the 1960's. They did a great job representing CHS!
FCCLA LEADERSHIP
Congratulations to Lisette Meza Reyes for taking 1st place in the Teach FACS Skill Demonstration at the FCCLA National Cluster. Lisette did an outstanding job of making people aware of the need for strong leaders going into the education field.
AZ SPEAKER SERIES
Last week, CHS students heard Dr. Sanjay Gupta speak as part of the AZ Speaker Series. Thanks to the Chandler Education Foundation for providing the tickets. Dr. Gupta, a multiple Emmy-award winning chief medical correspondent and practicing neurosurgeon, is just one of the seven speakers students will have the opportunity to hear.

TAX CREDIT DONATION
Arizona law ARS 43-1089.01 enables taxpayers a tax credit contribution of up to $400.00 per calendar year if filing status is Married, filing Joint Return; $200.00 per calendar year if filing status is Single or Head of Household; and, $200.00 per calendar year if filing status is Married filing separate return — for contributions that fund extracurricular activities in public schools. A tax credit is a full refund, not a deduction.
Contributions eligible for a tax credit are donated directly to schools, not to the state or the school district. To participate, follow the Tax Credit Donation link.

ALL receipts dated and submitted between November 1 and January 15 will earn 20 points per dollar spent, which is double the normal points!
You can submit your receipts online 24/7 at the school cents website. If you do not need your receipts returned, you can drop them in the CHS collection box located on the Upper Level bridge near Barnes & Noble, or you can bring them to Mrs. Claudio in the front office.
