New Field ES Weekly Updates
Week 33: May 2-5, 2022
It's Teacher Appreciation Week!
Dear New Field Community,
This week we get to celebrate our school heroes, the staff that makes New Field the best school in the city of Chicago! Our teachers and staff work tirelessly to create fun, engaging lessons, supportive and responsive classroom environments, and foster the joy of learning for our students. Please consider participating in Teacher Appreciation this week and love our teachers out loud.
I am thrilled to share that some of our teachers were featured today for the launch of Teacher Appreciation Week. Our awesome kindergarten co-teaching team, Ms. Calhoun and Ms. Escobedo, are featured on the CPS website--- Click here to read about their thoughts on building relationships with students and families and their efforts to build an inclusive and responsive classroom. You can also share their feature on Facebook and Twitter. Make sure to let them know what you think the next time you see them.
Just like Ms. Calhoun and Ms. Escobedo, all of our teachers and staff deserve a huge shout out and recognition for their work. I hope you join me in celebrating our staff. Here are ways that you can participate:
Tuesday - Sweet Treats
- Consider sending a sweet treat for any staff member who makes New Field great!
Wednesday - Stock the Staff Lounge
- Consider sending coffee, tea, coffee filters, flavored creamers, seltzer waters, etc for the communal use in our staff lounge
Thursday - Thank you Thursday
- Consider writing a thank you card for your teacher, templates available in the main office
Friday - Friday Finale
- Let all of CPS and Chicago know how much you love our staff! Tag @chicagopublicschools and give an online shout out to our teachers and staff
Sincerely,
Ms. Conrey Callahan
Principal, New Field ES
