Steven Bradbury was Australia's first ever gold medallist. he one in short track speed skating. he nearly lost his life after cutting his leg open on a very sharp skate it was 18 months before till the olympics, then 6 months before the olympics he broke his neck in a training accident. He was in the olympics in 2002 and was 25 metres behind when the other men fell over and he crossed the finish line. hen didn't think he deserved the medal because the men were coming first.Steven Bradbury has given up short track speed skating because of all of his injuries he had been while he was training.
