Davisburg Learners Bloom

Our Davisburg learning community is bursting in flower! Scientists are recording their thinking with evidence, mathematicians are sharing multiple strategies for solving problems, writers are studying a variety of ways to share information with an audience with powerful leads and meaningful evidence, readers are exploring topics that excite them, and learners are becoming more confident in their skills each day.

Thank you for all of the opportunities you create to make the greatness happen! Our staff have so much to be proud of!

Thank You Erica Palm!

Erica is stepping down as the PTC president at this Monday's meeting. She has done so much around our building, in our classrooms and for our students; I thought it would be appropriate to present her with a "Thank You" from our staff for her service. I will be purchasing a hanging basket or potted plant arrangement and thought a gift certificate from our staff might also be nice. If you would like to contribute any amount - please drop cash into the envelope on the back counter in the office. I will sign the card from our Davisburg Staff and share our thanks during Monday's meeting.

A Note From Facilities: Classroom Furniture Use

Following fire code is essential in the school setting. The code is established to ensure a safe environment for our staff, students, and community. Fire or injury resulting from failure to comply with the code is just not tolerable. Some common infractions include:

Interior finishes such as hanging decorations, tents, curtains, draperies, etc. that are suspended from the ceiling shall be fire rated. Home furnishings, such as couches, pillows, recliners, etc., within the building do not meet the requirement for interior finishes and must be removed from building, unless tested and fire-rated. If tested and rated, it will have this label: This Article meets the Flammability Requirements of California Bureau of Home Furnishings Technical Bulletin 117. Care should be exercised near open flame or with burning cigarettes. If there is a need for these items, most commercial furniture is fire rated.

Please check your spaces as the year winds down to be sure that we are in compliance with safety regulations.

Summer Building Closure

Davisburg will be closed for cleaning from July 18 through August 8. More details around 2016 year-end checkout to come

The Following Info Went Home in the Dateline Today.....FYI..........

Pick Up Circle & Bus Loop Reminders

All students being picked up by car transport after school should report to the parent pick up loop on the west side of our building. The east lot / front door exit is for bussing students only. The only exception to this is for our preschool families that are picking up school age children and preschoolers at the same time. Thank you for your cooperation!
