April 2021
What's happening at Conrad...
I cannot believe we are in the last two months of school. This school year has flown by! We look forward to sharing our last couple of family events in-person style to round out the school year. Please read below what we have planned this month, and look for more detailed information to come.
April is the Month of the Military Child. We want to celebrate all of our military-connected students and families. The sacrifices our service men/women and their families make for our freedom are greatly appreciated. To celebrate our military children, we will dress in purple on Friday, April 16th for Purple Up! Day. Thank you to our military families!
Our students have made amazing growth throughout this year in all areas- academics (math, literacy), social emotional, physical, fine motor, and language. Conrad ELC's Teaching Strategies GOLD data shows significant growth from the Fall Benchmark (October 2020) to Winter Benchmark (December 2020). I can only imagine the increase in growth we will all see by the end of the school year. I want to thank all of you for your partnership with our classroom teams to support the growth of our child(ren). Family and school partnership is the number one factor in student success.
The Spring Class Pictures that were rescheduled from March will take place on Friday, April 9th. Due to the mask protocol, in order to take class pictures without masks, pictures will be taken outside. We're going to cross our fingers for good spring weather on Friday!
Side note: As the weather gets warmer, we notice more dogs on school property. Please remember, and share with family and friends, that dogs are not allowed on property. This is for the safety of our students and the animal(s). Service dogs are allowed, but must be vested. In addition, for anyone walking dogs on the grass before/after school hours- messes need to be cleaned up immediately. If you can help us get the word out, we would greatly appreciate it! Oh, also, with our dry climate here in Colorado, it is very important that cigarette butts are not thrown out of cars while sitting in the parking lot.
It's been a fabulous school year, and I'm looking forward to a fun and energetic last couple of months. Thank you for sharing your children with us! They are the best parts of our day, every day!
Kindly,
Stephanie Lee

All read aloud video links are still located on the Conrad website. They will remain there throughout the summer. We hope you will enjoy them at anytime for the next couple of months.
April Family Event
In conjunction with our PTO, Conrad will be hosting a healthy snack picnic for our students. Individual classes will meet with families on the baseball fields across from our parking lot to enjoy some family time together while the student enjoys a healthy snack provided by PTO. Classes will have half hour times designated for their snack/play with their families and then return to their classrooms. Snacks will only be provided for Conrad students. Parents, please bring a snack for siblings and/or yourself, if you'd like. Due to COVID protocols, families may not enter the building following this event.
If parents/guardians/ emergency contacts would like to take their child home following this activity, they must sign out their child with the teacher.
