February is "Safety First" Month at Harrison Elementary

Father Daughter Dance

Join us for a memorable night on March 28, 2020 from 6-8:30pm for the PTA annual Father Daughter Dance. TICKETS WILL BE ON SALE BEGINNING MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24TH. This years dance will take place at Clearview High School. Tickets can be purchased at the link below.

Nico’s Power Up Packs Community Service Project

It’s Power Up Pack Time!

Nico’s Power Up Packs are bags of crafts, toys, and activities for pediatric patients. They are named for Nico Cassabria, who was diagnosed with stage IV high risk neuroblastoma (a type of childhood cancer) at the age of 3 and spent 7 years of his life in and out of the hospital. Nico passed away at the age of 10, but his kindness and compassion will live on through Nico’s Power Up Packs. The name is a nod to Nico’s love of video games and all things gaming. Our hope is that Nico’s Power Up Packs will perk up or “power up” these young warriors.

We need your help!!

All donations will be collected during the week of February 18-February 21, 2020.

Each Grade level is encouraged to donate their designated item so we can Power Up some amazing packs for these pediatric patients.

  • Play Doh/ Model Magic- Preschool

  • Bubbles- Kindergarten

  • Craft Kits- First Grade

  • Card Games-Second Grade

  • Bubbles- Third Grade

  • Walmart/ Target gift cards- Harrison Elementary Staff

  • Pajamas for boys and girls- Harrison Elementary Staff

Our Harrison Elementary family is so lucky and we want to show it. Here is an optional at-home activity for your family to participate in.

Brainstorm a list of “lucky” things, add your luckiness to a clover, and send back to school!

Socks at the March School Store on March 3rd

The PTA will be selling mismatched socks for $1 at the March 3rd School Store during student lunches. This will give students a chance to get socks to support Rock Your Socks on March 20th. Together we will create a global voice for advocating for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down syndrome in our schools, community and around the world.
