LFO supports the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office and the Stocking Full of Love program.

Please consider bringing in a new, unwrapped toy (or a monetary donation ) to donate to the Stocking Full of Love for children in Catoosa County ages 12 months to 14 years old.

AP Test Order Announcement

AP Literature and AP Economics

The deadline to order an AP exam for the fall semester is November 15th. Students can order exams on their My AP classroom at Please see your AP teacher or Mrs. G ( with any questions.

Georgia Milestones EOC Exams

The EOC exam window will begin on December 7th. State-mandated tests in Algebra I, Biology, American Literature, and U.S. History will count for 20% of the final course grade.

Important Senior Information

  1. November 17 - Apply to College Day in the media center for seniors. A few admissions counselors will be at LFO to offer assistance. Many application fees are waived on this day!
  2. November 30 - Financial aid speaker from Georgia Student Finance Commission will be in the media center at 6:00 pm for students and parents to discuss how to pay for college.
  3. December 2 - Field Trip to Dalton State for a campus tour
  4. December 16 - Deadline to have a senior picture in the yearbook

Cafeteria Charges


Meal charges negatively affect our school's budget and impede additional opportunities for all students. I am asking for your help in this area. If your student owes meal charges, please contact the cafeteria bookkeeper to make a payment.

Final Exam Exemption Policy

Exemptions from FALL and SPRING finals will be based on unexcused absences and grades in each course. Since exemptions will be based on unexcused absences, it is important to send notes to excuse absences. Notes should be turned in to the attendance clerk, Judy Blevins, within three days of the absence.

Students may be exempt from finals if:

3 unexcused absences with an A in the course

2 unexcused absences with a B in the course

1 unexcused absence with a C in the course

0 unexcused absences with a D in the course
