Matey Message Week 9 October 11-15
Matey Message Week 10 October 18-22
None of us is as smart as all of us.
Dear Matey Families,
Happy Fall! Late last week I received exciting news! U.S. News and World Report have ranked NP3 Elementary as the #1 Elementary School In Natomas Unified. Thank you so much to everyone who contributes to making our learning community so special. Please see the attachment below for more information.
Runnin' for Rhett starts this week. In addition, Ms. Draper has teamed up with one of our parents and the Sacramento Food Bank to help Afghan refugees. Thank you to our staff who graciously donate their time to help our students and families feel more connected to NP3 and Natomas!
NP3 is also accepting applications until November 15. Please note, if you are an existing NP3 student, you do not need to fill out another application. You will complete an Intent to Return survey in late winter/early spring.
Have a wonderful week!
Mrs. Dart

NP3 Schools COVID-19 Dashboard: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ohfRo8kXTbgGs9nSXxD9vY9AK_vpx29I1Q_rw4D4PkI/edit#gid=0
Due to the shortage of rapid tests, we will only test staff and students who have been identified as close contacts to a positive case on campus. NUSD is offering to test every day from 7 am - 9 am and Tuesdays from 10 am - 4 pm. There are additional testing sites throughout Sacramento County, as well.
If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Baker.
Community Outreach: Welcome Home Bathroom Baskets
In an effort to help our Sacramento Afghan families and Afghan refugees, NP3 Elementary is partnering with Sacramento Food Bank to create "Bathroom Baskets" for newly arriving Afghan refugees.
The Bathroom Baskets will feature toiletries collected from students and families. We are asking each classroom community to consider donating one item from the list attached. Donations will be accepted the week of November 1-5.
Please review the attached flyer to see what item your student's classroom is responsible for. If you have any questions, you may contact Mrs. Draper at sdraper@natomasunified.org
Leader in Me: Stop and Think
Students continue to explore what it means to be proactive (Habit 1). Attached is a tool that will help your students act within their Circle of Control. It is called a Stop and Think Diagram. The tool allows your student a way to organize their thinking and response to a situation.
