Books for You

Ali Wood was a former teacher and Librarian here at Discovery. As part of Ali’s legacy, she wanted to create a way to get books in the hands of kids. This project is starting with our fall book fair. A foundation has donated $5000 in Ali’s honor to ensure that each kid gets books. All kids will walk out of the book fair with a book in their hands and from Ali there will be a sticker inside to honor Ali’s wishes.

If your family would like to donate to the fund in addition to or in lieu of receiving a book, please contact Katie Davis

Here is the link to donate. Any coins or $ donations coming into the fair can also go into this fund.

It will be called the Sunshine Fund when kids check out at the book fair.

They can learn to budget their money and spend wisely, while also experiencing the joy of giving.
