Balls Study
Dear Parents
With immense joy and enthusiasm, we come to the end of our Ball Unit! Our ball study provided children with opportunities to learn through observation and experimentation skills in mathematics, literacy and art.
It was very interesting to finalize the study with the focus question “What are balls made of?” Children were presented with the question “What do you think is inside a ball?” We have discussed, explored and cut open different balls such as hollow and solid ones. Children were also encouraged to use their senses to explore balls. We gathered several that were made of different materials and invited children to include words such as listen, smell, touch and look to describe them
On Friday we celebrated the end of our unit with a cooking class. To further our understanding about spheres and flat circles, we made Arepas.
Enjoy the well-deserved break!
Best regards,
