Delta College Accuplacer Test:
Representatives from Delta College Admissions and Testing will administer the Accuplacer on Monday, February 21, 2022 for any students planning to attend Delta in the fall of 2022. The Accuplacer is required for admissions and course placement. Those who have earned an SAT 480 in reading/writing and SAT 500 in math are exempt from the Accuplacer. The test will be administered virtually. However, our admissions rep will be on site to offer the following: test score interpretation, schedule student orientation, and course selection for the fall term at Delta. One stop shopping!! We piloted this program a couple years ago and had 30+ seniors participate. That is noteworthy as it was a teacher in-service day….no school for students. I did bribe them with juice and donuts, but turnout was great. I will do the same this year. The 21st is also an in-service this year. Because the test will be administered virtually, seating will be limited to 15 students for each session. I will host two sessions….one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Exact times to be determined. Each session can only accommodate 15 students. Reservations will be given on a first come, first served basis. If you are planning to attend Delta and want to take advantage of this great opportunity, see Mr. Bird or Mrs. McLellan ASAP. Seats are going fast!!!
When: Monday, February 21 One morning and one afternoon session.
Where: SVHS Library Media Center
What: Pre-register in the HS Counseling Office by Monday, February 7, 2022
Provide a photo ID the day of the test.
You will need headphones the day of the test.
Test Prep: For more information about Accuplacer practice materials, access the following website: https://accuplacer.collegeboard.org/
Cost: Nothing, zero, zilch, nada
Nourishment: Juice and donuts

These jobs are ideal for high school graduates as they are available May through September up to 40 hours per week (weather permitting). Positions start at $14.25 per hour. All applicants must receive a score of 70% or greater to become a "registered" pesticide applicator in order to work for SCMAC.
