Function of System
-release of an egg from the ovary
Major Organs of System
-prevents things from entering and/or leaving when fetus is formed
Fallopian Tubes: ducts for ovaries-not attached to them
-egg travels through them and is fertilized there
Mammary Glands: breasts
-external sexual stimulus; produces nutrients for offspring
Ova: female sex cells (eggs)
-become fertilized; form offspring
Ovarian Follicle: pockets in ovaries
-contain developing oocytes
Ovaries: either of paired female gonads
-produce ova
Uterus: hollow, muscular organ
-fertilized egg implants and grows
Vagina: internal tube from the uterus to the vulva
-birthing canal
Vulva: external genitals of the female
-protects inner parts; sexually lubricates

- Study suggests Femara results in better ovulation which ups the birth rates
- It works by blocking the production of estrogen which tricks the body into producing more hormones
- 28% of the women produce children after only five cycles
- Compared to the 19% that took Clomid
- The over all percentage was 68% Femara vs. 48% Clomid
