NEW CONTACT TRACING AND QUARANTINE GUIDANCE

There is new guidance from the Indiana Department of Health discussing new Contact Tracing and Quarantines guidelines that will begin on February 23rd.

Along with these guidelines, if your child is a positive COVID case, we will continue to ask the child to isolate for 5 days and then come back for 5 days masked.

Other than that situation, there will not be any mandatory masking and Queen of Angels will continue to be Mask OPTIONAL.

Also, Federal government still REQUIRES Masks for Buses (Field Trips)

TRIVIA NIGHT; Saturday, February 26, 6:00 p.m.

Please consider joining us next Saturday, February 26, 2022, for a fantastic, fun, and totally awesome (for you 80s children) time! $10/person for an evening of entertainment that supports our school. This is an adult-only event. Any questions, or to sign-up ahead of time, see the full flyer here.

DROP OFF PROCEDURES

With all of the wet and cold weather, I know that it is easy to stop right at the door. The issue that is arising is that cars behind those that stop in front of the door, are also letting their children out. This is a major safety issue, especially when students come out of the driver side passenger door. Please make sure that you are pulling up as far as you can at the sidewalk. The last car to let out students should be the last one that has to stop by the front door. If your car is behind that vehicle, do not let you children out. We want ALL students to be safe. If you need to get out of your car, please pull to the side parking lot (North Side of the Monsignor Faber Activity Center).

Many thanks for your cooperation.

STUDENT AMBASSADORS (4th - 8th Grade)

Yesterday was the first official meeting of the Student Ambassadors. This was an awesome opportunity for all of us to meet together and get to know one another a little bit better. There were many great conversations about school dress code, early dismissal, snow days, etc. I am really looking forward to continuing to meet with these students and train them on how they can assist with future events and tours. We will have our next meeting, on Thursday, March 3rd at 11:30am.

Many thanks,

Mr. Wiegmann

SCRIP

DRESS CODE REMINDERS (PLEASE USE THE DAYS BELOW TO HELP YOUR CHILD DRESS FOR MASS)

We are having numerous dress code infractions that we are witnessing. Any student in Grade 5 through Grade 8, should be wearing a belt with their pants.

Girls in grades 4-8 who choose to wear skirts must wear knee to mid-calf length school plaid, blue or khaki skirts. It is advised that you wear heavy tights in the winter.

Also, on school Mass days boys should be wearing a button-down shirt and tie and the girls should be wearing their dress shirts.

Tuesdays: 5th - 8th Grade have Mass and should be in Mass attire

Wednesdays: K-4th Grade have Mass and should be in Mass attire.

Fridays and ALL SCHOOL MASS DAYS: K-8th will have Mass and should be in Mass attire.

We thank you for your help with these issues and hope that we can have them resolved.
