A Note From Mrs. Solomon
Thank you for attending our curriculum nights this week. While it is not our usual experience it does allow for everyone to have conversation and make connections. We appreciate your support and partnership.
Thank you for your patince with the arrival and dismissal procedures, I think we have a plan that is working. Please remember that we would like to have everyone only making a right turn into the lot for drop-off and pick-up. The drop-off and pick-up goes smoother when drivers do not have to stop to let other drivers in. We would appreciate the one lane of traffic flow for both the morning and afternoon. Thank you!
If you find you are running late in the morning and there is no longer supervision outside, please advise your child or children to enter through the front door of the building to check in with the office.
Our students have been working through their iReady assessments this last week as well as their ECRA social emotional learning assessments in-person and remote. All staff will be working through analyzing the data in the coming weeks to help meet students where they are at and set goals.
Hopefully we will have dry weekend for families to be able to enjoy the outdoors. Looking forward to a week of sunshine next week!

Parent Teacher Conferences
Wild Rose Library Book Check out Procedures 2020-2021
Students will place books on hold through Destiny library catalog, once logged in using their google account, or by non-electronic means.
LRC staff will pull books from shelves and deliver them to students’ classrooms.
Students will return book/s to designated bins outside of the LRC as part of their morning routine.
LRC staff will empty bins each morning and place books in “quarantine” for at least four days before returning to the shelves.
LRC staff may also bring a selection of books to primary classrooms for students to check out. Students will touch only books they wish to check out.
Books are automatically returned after 14 days.
All digital content can be accessed through the site’s LRC website.
Accommodations for Remote Learners - Curbside Pickup
Students will place books on hold through our Destiny library catalog. Please place all holds by Tuesday for a Wednesday pickup.
LRC staff will pull books from shelves and place books for contactless curbside pick up.
Books with students’ names will be on a cart inside the main entrance lobby each Wednesday for a 2:00 - 3:00 p.m pick-up.
Students will return books at this time to a designated cart outside the main entrance. All returned books will be placed in “quarantine” for at least four days before returning to the shelves and being made available for checkout.
Any digital/web resource material can continue to be accessed via the site’s LRC website using the provided passwords.
How to put books on hold.
Student Self-Certification EVERY DAY
- Step 1: Log-in here, using your HAC credentials. Answer the questions honestly. If you receive the green "you are good to go" screen, your child is clear to come to school. You do not need to print the green ticket.
- Step 2: Initial your child's luggage tag (that we will be providing you) signifying your completion of the online form.
Student's have a luggage tag and a weekly dated insert. This tag should hang on their backpack and serves as a quick way for teachers to check that children have been certified, prior to them entering school. Children who are not certified will not be allowed in school until they are certified. Families will be called prior to allowing a student into the school building.
Teachers will have the students replace the weekly insert on Fridays, prior to them leaving for the day. If your child is absent on a Friday or did not receive the new insert, feel free to just flip the previous week's insert over, date and initial it, and we will replace it with a new tag when they return to school.

School Issured Devices and Tech Help
If you need technical support with devices, please use the live chat instead of their phone line. It can be found here: https://district.d303.org/elearning-tech-support
Devices will be brought home on a daily basis, and should be charged at home nightly. We will not be storing devices in classrooms.
Your child's email address is their firstname.lastname@example.org. You find their 800#, which is their student ID, by logging in to your HAC account.
If you need assistance with passwords please contact your child's in-person or remote teacher.
During this unique time of educating students in both remote and in-person settings, we are making every effort to balance class sizes and maintain a sense of community for all our students. As parents continue to request changes for their children, impacting both remote and in person class size, we will need to continue to shift personnel and adjust the remote and in person classroom makeups. While continuity is our goal, these adjustments may result in changes in placements. We appreciate your patience as we work to provide meaningful educational experiences for all our students.
