Owl Notes

JANUARY 4

A WORD TO THE WISE...

While I have thoroughly enjoyed my time off and taken full advantage of unplugging from school, I am ready to get back to a routine and honestly, I have missed you all! Coming to school daily is a great reward for me. To see your smiles, get your hugs, and watch your eyes light up when students "get it" makes my days! I hope that you, too, have taken full advantage of your days away and unplugged from school to refresh and rejuvenate yourselves.

As we return, we will hit the floor running! The spring semester (to me) always seems to fly by much more quickly than the fall semester. We will start off quickly with MOY reading testing and never look back. Make sure you are well rested!

Return to work information - All staff report back to work on Monday, January 7. Breakfast tacos will be provided in the library from 8-8:30 a.m. Bring your own school drink of choice. Professional staff will be asked to meet at 8:30 to complete the campus OHI. Once that is complete, you will have the remainder of the day to prepare for the week. Jeans, sweatpants, school appropriate casual clothing is acceptable!

CTT and planning will resume on January 14. The schedule will rotate one day with

Monday - 3rd, Tuesday - 4th, Wednesday - K, Thursday - 1st, Friday - 2nd for morning CTT and active start.

OPPORTUNITIES TO GROW - IMPACT FEBRUARY 9

Yearly, Junior League of North Harris County and South Montgomery County offer a guest speaker to teacher/staff in area district, including CISD. This year the event will take place on Saturday, February 9 with doors opening at 8 and presentation starting at 9. DR. RICK RIGSBY will be the guest speaker this year. I've included a clip from him so that you can hear what we are in for that morning. If you are interested in attending, the link to Eduphoria registration is below. He sounds amazing!!!
