Message from Geordie

Good afternoon everyone,

The end of a short week (for students) and it has been a lot of fun here at St Bernie’s. I had the opportunity to get into a number of classes this week and have really enjoyed watching the learning taking place. In Yr 3 with Mrs Schofield, students were working in groups to research different island nations around the world, writing reports, creating posters and they will be presenting orally to the class soon. It was great to see how engaged and excited they were in the activity!

Last weekend I attended the Yr 3 Reconciliation Mass and morning tea and would like to congratulate all the students who made their First Reconciliation. It was really nice to come down on a weekend and be part of the celebration. I would also like to thank the teachers and parents for preparing the students, Father and Angela for organising the Liturgy and the musicians for their lively performance!

I hope everyone has a great long weekend and is refreshed ready for Week 8.
