What the job is

The job of an ultrasound technologist is to use a machine to administer an ultrasound. This is most commonly done on expecting mothers to capture an image of their baby. Technologist must be able to read and interpret the image on the monitor and communicate what they see and what it means to the patient.

Ultrasound Technologist/ Sonographer - Per Diem - Weekends

Key Criteria


Ideal candidates will have a least three years of experience in Diagnostic Ultrasound. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and are graduates of an accredited school of Ultrasonography. Two years of college are preferred. You must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
