scientific revolution

what was the change?
From 1550-1700Europe experienced a scientific revolution when new ideas in physics, astronomy, biology, anatomy changed the way Europeans viewed the natural world
who were the people associated with the change?
Nicolaus Copernicus
In the middle ages people had believed since ancient times, that the earth was at the center of the universe.this was called the geocentric model of the universe. Nicolaus Copernicus thought that the geocentric model didn't explain movements of the sun, moon and planets.after studying this theory for 30 years,he proposed a new model of the universe: the heliocentric model.in the model, the sun is the center of the universe cpoernius' work angered religious leaders in the catholic and protestant churches.
Galileo Galiei
Galileo Galilei was an italian math professor who set out to prove many of aristotle's theories about nature wrong. he found that objects accelerate at a predictable and fixed rate, proved that heavy objects fall at the same rate as lighter ones, and made improvements to the telescope and was one of the first to improve it enough to use it to observe the sky. He used the telescope to study sunspots, the moon's surface, and jupiter's moons. the church didn't like his research so they threatened to torture him, then lock him in his house until he died.
Isaac Newton
Isaac Newton had made the law of universal gravitation which stated that every object in the universe attracts every other object.he also made the mathematical principles of natural philosophy:which stated that the universe was like a giant clock, all of it's parts worked together perfectly in ways that could be expressed mathematically, and believed god was the creator of this orderly universe(the clock -maker)
how did the change impact society at the time?
it had impacted it greatly, people were learning, making, and discovering new things that would prove to make their lives better. then people stared to get from the church to look into these new ideas and way of life ,but the church didn't like this because people started to question the church.so they did things threatening scientist, and killing astronomers to show people that the church is almighty and there's no reason to change thing
how is the change evidence in today's modern society
it has given us a new way of thinking that gave way to new ideas that has evolved from that to give us what we have now, evidence in modern day society includes, the scientific method, the architecture, music art, new technology, and medicine.
