STEM Opportunities
Calling all Educators, Counselors, Administrators, Parents/Guardians and STEM Allies,
The Student National Medical Association (SNMA) is the oldest student-led organization dedicated to supporting current and future underrepresented minority medical students. As part of our National Leadership Institute, we are excited to announce the Virtual Pipeline Academy, a half-day conference designed to excite, engage, and inform underrepresented minority (Black, Hispanic/Latino, and Native American) high school students interested in medicine and other health professions.
Our sessions will introduce students and parents to the premedical/pre-health experience, including SNMA and its resources for aspiring physicians. Participants will be able to take advantage of interactive and motivating workshops, as well as ask questions and gain informative advice to prepare students to be successful in high school and college.
While our conference focuses on preparing those underrepresented in medicine, it is open to all students from various backgrounds.

These National Recognition Programs grant underrepresented students with academic honors that can be included on college and scholarship applications and connect students with universities across the country, helping them meaningfully connect to colleges and stand out during the admissions process. Colleges and scholarship programs identify students awarded National African American, Hispanic, Indigenous and/or Rural/Small Town Recognition through College Board’s Student Search Service.
