Welcome Back!
We're ready to kick off a new school year!
Message from Mr. Wolf
What an exciting time of the year!
We had a great first day with our 6th grade students today! It was so nice to see so many of the 6th graders in the building. There was a lot of energy and enthusiasm from them and from our staff and we are looking forward to a great year ahead.
For all of our 7th and 8th grade students joining us tomorrow, please log-in to PowerSchool tonight to double check who your homeroom teacher is and what room they are in (some of these may have changed over the past few days). All of the staff outside tomorrow morning will have homeroom lists, and we suggest that you check with them if you do not have the ability to look at PowerSchool tonight.
7th and 8th grade students will get their locker assignments tomorrow as well, so please bring all of your supplies with you.
See you soon!
Mr. Wolf
Student Drop Off
For our students’ safety, we ask that cars avoid 4th Street, in front of the school, before and after school. In addition, there is no stopping or parking in that area at any time before, durning, or after school hours.
We are continuing to ask each grade level to enter the building using a different entrance.
6th grade students - enter through the Main Entrance (Door #1) on 4th St.
7th grade students - enter through the Gym Lobby Entrance (Door #23 )on High St.
8th grade students - enter through the Small Gym Entrance (Door #20 )on the far south end of High Street.
All students who ride the bus - enter through the Main Entrance (Door #1) on 4th St.
Students who come in for breakfast can enter the building at 7:30am. Doors open for all students at 7:45am, and classes begin at 7:55am.
FAMS Athletics
All participants in FAMS athletics must register online at fortathletics.com. Along with this online process, students also need a physical exam - completed exam forms must be on file in our school’s main office. Physicals are good for two school years with an alternate year approval via the online form. There is a fee for school sports of $50 for sport 1; $40 for sport 2 and $30 for sport 3. All of these items must be complete before competition begins.
Important Dates
FAMS Open House
OUR GOAL: To help parents/guardians meet their student’s teachers, see their classrooms, gain a better understanding of the teacher’s general expectations for each class, and become more familiar with the middle school building. We believe that this event provides our school and parents/guardians with a crucial initial contact for the school year.
